While carpets may be comfortable, it is recommended that dogs have hard flooring such as laminate or engineered wood flooring. You can still use rugs and cushions to keep your dog and yourself comfortable.

Laminate– With a wooden core and a printed top image, laminate offers good value. The laminate is easy to maintain and clean, and scratches from dog nails don’t appear as bad. Engineered wood– Easy to install and maintain (and cheaper) than solid wood, engineered wood gives the look and feel luxurious of real wood. However, you will still have to be careful to clean up any pee to prevent staining. Some woods are also prone to scratching.
